At the eastern end of the Glen of Aherlow lies St. Pecaun’s church and well, which has been a holy place for centuries. The site includes the ruins of St. Pecaun’s church, a monastic cell and carved stones.
St. Pecaun’s is on private property but can be accessed via railway gates. Visitors are very welcome to visit St. Pecaun's. Once there, why not partake in the old tradition of drinking the holy water from the well for health and well being?
Traditionally there is a local celebration on the first Monday of August to commemorate the feast day of St. Pecaun.
