Fishing

The unpolluted waters of the River Suir and its tributaries, combined with the rural landscape of Tipperary provide an idyllic setting for angling. With a good fish stock, unspoilt banks and accessibility to the River Suir, Cahir town is a regional centre of excellence for brown trout fishing. Close to car parks and with wheelchair access, Cahir’s 6 fishing stands are ideal for fishing enthusiasts of all levels of ability on what is one of the top dry fly rivers in Europe for brown trout.

Angling season:

17th March - 30th September
